Design and validate brick-building instruction booklets
Source-backed example. Practical decision guidance is proposed and untested; this is not a full implementation guide.
The problem
A brick-building idea needs a coherent part inventory and assembly order before it can be turned into understandable instructions.
Agent job
Create build.json, check collisions, support, order and inventory, then render and visually review an instruction booklet.
Expected output
A checked digital build specification and HTML or PDF instruction booklet.

Why use this
A builder can imagine a recognizable model without knowing whether its pieces can be placed in a sensible order. An attractive final shape can still produce confusing instructions or an inventory that does not match the steps.
This job could make the model's assumptions inspectable before anyone gathers parts. A digital specification, part accounting and readable views give a reviewer different ways to find problems, though they cannot substitute for checking a physical build.
Why an agent / simpler alternative
- Useful judgment
Coordinate geometry, inventory and assembly sequence, and explain conflicts that need design decisions.
- Simpler alternative
Use an existing official booklet or manually document a very small familiar build.
- Unsuitable when
The model is expected to bear loads, serve a safety-critical purpose or be child-safe without independent review.
Proposed inputs

- Owner
Builder
- Minimum scope
Subject, chosen scale and permitted part family
- Quality check

Builder
- Minimum scope

Access and setup — proposed or unknown
- Proposed minimum
Proposed specification and isolated render outputs; no parts shopping or installation in the first check.
- Compatibility unknowns
Validator rules, renderer dependencies, part-library coverage and current runtime compatibility are unknown.
- External actions requiring approval
Scale changes, software installation, external uploads and parts purchases require relevant approval.
Expected deliverable and review checks
- Proposed artifact
Build specification, inventory comparison, unresolved validation findings and draft instruction booklet.
- Critical checks
Reconcile inventory with steps; inspect hidden connections and placement order; retain unresolved structural issues.
- Missing output evidence
No independently inspected booklet, validator run or physical assembly result is provided here.
Failure signals and proposed responses
- Signal
A later piece blocks access to an earlier connection
- Why it matters
The final model may be impossible to assemble as shown
- Proposed response
Reorder steps or redesign the obstructed section.
- Signal
A rendered step hides the joining surface
- Why it matters
A valid specification can still be unreadable
- Proposed response
Change viewpoint or split the step and inspect again.
Effort and cost — unknown
- Setup work
Agree scale, part vocabulary and review criteria.
- Ongoing review
Review validation findings and rendered assembly sequence.
- Unknowns
Dependency setup, physical prototyping, part availability and costs are unknown.
First check — proposed, unexecuted
- Status
proposed_unexecuted
- Synthetic fixture
Describe a fictional miniature arch using a short part list, including one unsupported element and one inventory shortfall; request a review plan only.
- Acceptance checks
Identify both defects; propose distinct repairs; avoid declaring the model buildable.
- Stop conditions
Stop before installation, parts ordering or claims of physical safety.
Limits
Digital checks cannot establish real-world stability, manufacturing tolerances or age suitability.

- tool_action
- What the source supports
- Transforms a chosen subject into build.json, checks collisions, support, order and inventory, then renders and visually reviews an HTML/PDF instruction booklet.
- Source outcome limits
- Instruction-building recipe; successful physical assembly is unverified.
- Evidence attribution caveat
- This community recipe describes a procedure; it does not prove successful execution or independently reproduced results.
- Source approval description
- User chooses scale tier; validator errors must be fixed and rendered output visually inspected.
